  • Post Secret Perfect Sunday

That's my boy... the one I rarely ever hear from, but I love him still.  So, there is a hurricane headed toward Maine, I am not from up north, so what are the ramifications of a hurricane that slides by Maine and heads to Canada for a state like New York?

Today has been a pleasant and productive day.  I like these early days of fall.  It is cool enough at night to open the windows and if you can bear a little heat, one doesn't really need to turn the air on during the day... but it is still warm.  So, I cleaned today and actually feel like if a person were to drop by I could invite them in.  It is sad when your domestic dwelling is so filthy that you hope no one shows up and when they do you stand at the front door hoping they can't peep in.  So, yeah... Skooter played in a golf tournament and I could clean undisturbed.  It is difficult for me to clean when he is here..., and sadly, while he is not messy, his definition of clean and my definition of clean are vastly different.

Summer is my favorite time of year, I fondly remember the day I took this picture back in June, but I am ready for autumn and cooler temps, and maybe a fire in the fireplace soon.

So, I popped in to check my Xanga today and I noticed that I have a two star rating.  I am wondering why anyone cares, as I rarely even post anymore.  So I am wondering what is going on around Xanga when people go around giving people one to two stars for no apparent reason.  My life if my life, I know it is not so terribly exciting and I have never said it is ... I post mostly for posterity, as crazy as that sounds.  I guess I think maybe someday I will be gone, well I know I'll be gone, but I guess I think someone might care later what I was thinking on this lazy, lovely day in late September..., but I could be wrong.  Anyway, if you are reading this 20 years in the future, I was happy today, not winning the lottery happy, but my I am fortunate and life is good happy.

    Peace, Love and Energy,
    Tricia

Clearly I forgot to link the Post Secret website, alas... I am losing my marbles and my mind.  Hopefully, soon, I will find them both.  Anyway, that is why I am updating this post... for post secrets.  Yeah, that's it.

Aww, great pic of your son.  We love them and miss them, even if they seem to have forgotten us!  LOL!  Is that a picture you took?  I haven't been able to get my son to send me any pictures from school in sooo long!

Hmm, I miss a week of posting and three people unsubbed!  I still haven't posted, but hope to get to it this evening!

We may get a little rain from that storm but nothing to worry about that I'm aware of..

i'm in CT which is more east than NY ... also, VT & NH come between NY & Maine. plus, it's the upper east coast of Maine that's supposed to get hit ... we've had some rain & it's humid. your son should be fine... no worries, mom!

I really don't know how it will affect New York but having seen how Ike affected my area several days after it made landfall I don't think it will be too wonderful.

I'm glad you had a good day, Tricia; I did also.  The days are somewhat warm and the nights are cool .. in the 70's, mainly.  Time for reflecting.

    Take care, my friend.

I think it means they get buckets of rain.

Know the feeling of not seeing the boy enough, good thing I got my Itty.

Might get a little rain from that storm, but upstate NY at least is far enough inland from it that there would be no problems.  I had to chuckle about this one popping up, not for them to have the hurricane, but at a comment I heard the other day that no one in the northeast ever needs to worry about hurricanes as they never go up that way.  Just goes to show, know of several that have headed in that direction and a few that have made landfall, granted not as severe as the ones that have hit the southern portions of the country.  enjoying the cooler days and nights too, they are great.  Have a good week.

Such a handsome son.  Posterity will be glad you posted to your Xanga.  I've always wondered about that . . . what happens to our Xangas if we die?

I love Sundays, and although I know work is just around the corner the next day, Sunday always seems longer than the day before.

Since my son went to college, he forgot I exist. But I stalk him on facebook so I have some kind of contact with him.

Great pic of your son.  He looks like he is having a great time!  No worries on the hurricane.  Heard it was just like a normal storm.

  • Wissh

Great photo of your son. Not hearing from him much just speaks of your success as his mother. You've raised an intelligent, independent male. What a concept!
When I lived in NY the only hurricane we ever had meant LOTS of rain and stronger than usual wind -nothing ever like anything we've seen from the Gulf coast.

In the summer, you can go to the beach and take a stick in your hand and write things in the sand, and you can know that it is like telling a secret to the world that the world will never tell.  The tide will rise and your secret will be erased by nature, and yet it is to and through nature that you have expressed that secret.  Yes, that photograph reminded me of my private beach time in the summer of 1998.

I have been so busy in the last few weeks that I understand how you feel! Great pics! Your son is quite handsome! Hugs, Tracy

@thankee - Yeah, I tried that, I always get caught, I make the rare trip by the Facebook and the myspace, oddly my child doesn't even get on there much.  How is your son doing at school?

    Hugs, Tricia
